much to do
After a good end of year break attending to other areas of my life I am now starting on a number of new projects.
I have been asked to run Art Demos and workshops locally, which I enjoy preparing and doing. They add to my experience and often challenge my approach to my own paintings and I intend to inspire and encourage the creativity those listening or taking part.
Last year my step-daughter put me in touch with a friend who has asked me to prepare designs and images for her forthcoming wedding which are to be done by the end of January……..
In February I am helping out at the Art Extravaganza in Frome. The event is to help fund RAISE (Refugee Action in the South East).
Meanwhile I have been researching for my next few paintings which will be part of the exhibition ‘Route to the Sun’ by the Artists 303 Group. The exhibition will be from 17th March to 14th April at ACEarts Gallery, Somerton. My work will be focussed on packhorse bridges near the A303. So far I have been out for some lovely walks and photographed five bridges. So enough to be getting on with!
During March I am also exhibiting in the Wells Museum, upstairs in the beautiful large room which is flooded with natural light and excellent new spotlights. I am exhibiting with landscape artist Jason Nosworthy: ‘Colourscape‘ will feature our work drawn together by a love of colour, running from 14th – 25th March with a Private View on 13th March 7.30-9pm
We will exhibit again for most of May at the East Lambrook Gardens Malthouse Gallery.
In Frome I continue with being part of the Frome Open Studios team preparing for the annual Art Trail during the Frome Festival.
