April

Somehow it feels as if I have done little so far this year as I look back over my photos and dairy. However, I have been working behind the scenes on the Frome Open Art Trail as Events Coordinator. Now the brochure is about to go to print with 75 artists in and around Frome exhibiting during the Frome Festival in July.

Trevellan Drive at Magic Space

Oil on canvas board.

Earlier in the year I completed a commission for a friend in Cornwall. She collected the painting and is really pleased with the view of her drive in the spring from last year. She loved the light on the lawn and the fresh look of the new leaves.

At the end of February I took part in the Bath Art Fair at the Pavilion. Lovely to be there and meet a new audience as well as old friends.

Currently I am showing work this weekend ( 9/10 April) at Downside Abbey’s Easter Fayre,

Now I am looking forward to a smaller event in the Frome Art Fair at the end of April at the Silk Mill, Frome. I will have prints on blocks as well as a selection of paintings on show.

Pencil Holders

Next week though I will be preparing a batch of home accessories to go to a new outlet in Tavistock – peg boards, chalk boards, pencil holders, storage boxes and cards. The themes are mainly nursery rhymes, though I will also take some of the prints of my paintings on the plywood blocks and related cards. The new shop is a second outlet for Heather Jane & Co in Fowey.

My Pure Rooster range can also be found in Bradford-on-Avon at Made in Bradford.
